3D Recreation of the Mansion of the Spirit Tree, from the original work Berserk, by Kentaro Miura. This is another lighting design, to really demonstrate all the potential in this environment.
This was the largest project I've ever worked on, so I learned a lot about asset otimization, topology, shaders, lighting and foliage.
For this project, I resorted to Quixel Bridge for some textures and Megascans for the decorative and background assets, like trees, flowers, and rocks, and also the Blender Tree Generator for the foliage on the big house trees. I used Maya for the 3D modeling, Substance Painter for the texturing and UE5 for the composition, lighting and VFX.
After 3 months of work, it feels great finaly being able to look at my recreation of one of the most iconic environments in the manga. I hope I did it justice!
